AI Fluency Agent
Help students confidently showcase real-world AI skills. This embedded resume feature evaluates how clearly AI fluency is communicated—then delivers personalized suggestions and skill-building links to strengthen impact and employer readiness.
1
What It Is
The AI Fluency Agent is a contextual recommendation agent built into the resume builder. It evaluates how well a student communicates AI fluency and responds with personalized, actionable suggestions based on the score.
It observes, reasons, and acts: analyzing the resume, interpreting results, and dynamically recommending the right next steps to improve or showcase AI readiness.
This is not a chatbot. It delivers structured, meaningful actions aligned to employer expectations around AI fluency.
2
Where It Lives
The agent runs automatically after the AI Fluency Score is generated within the resume builder. No job description is required. Personal information is redacted before evaluation begins.
Once the score is calculated, the agent interprets the results and presents a customized set of tools and actions to support resume refinement, skill-building, or career storytelling.
3
How It Works
After a student runs the AI Fluency Score, the agent evaluates how clearly and credibly their resume demonstrates AI awareness, usage, and field relevance.
Based on the score, the agent suggests targeted tools and guidance—such as refining resume content, adding AI-related experience, or crafting a pitch or cover letter that showcases responsible use of AI. It also connects students to curated OpenAI Academy resources that align with their AI fluency gaps, helping them grow while they revise.
This agent helps scale support across institutions by ensuring submitted documents reflect AI skills more clearly before reaching a reviewer. It’s a smart complement—not a replacement—for human feedback.
Why It Matters
AI fluency is now essential in nearly every career field, not just in technical roles. Whether someone has used ChatGPT for writing support or relied on AI tools for creative, research, or organizational tasks, they need to be able to describe that experience effectively.
This agent helps students:
Understand what AI fluency looks like on a resume
Identify realistic ways to describe or deepen their experience
Present their skills in a way that’s credible, professional, and aligned with employer expectations
The agent doesn't just evaluate—it encourages growth through personalized guidance and external learning resources.
It’s the first in a new generation of SkillsFirst agents built to support emerging career competencies and empower learners at scale.
